LinkedIn is the most extensive social network for businesses and working professionals in the world. So how do you stand out from the crowd on such a vast network? The answer is by linking video content to your personal or company profiles, and it’s more accessible than ever.

This feature is not new to LinkedIn, but many users overlook the potential of video on the platform and how it inevitably elevates their profile.

Today’s users desire video content because it’s more engaging, extremely transparent, and easier to consume.  A well-produced video can have a lasting effect on those who watch it. You can link video content to; Personal or Company Post, Sponsored Content, Career Pages, Personal Profiles, and Company Profiles (with a slight workaround).

Concerning Personal Profiles, you can link video content directly into your main info panel, and you can even add video content of past employers into your work history – to quickly showcase the companies and work you have previously done without needing a viewer to click through or personally research the company.

Although a company profile does not allow you to link media content directly;  you can simply create a video post containing the desired content and “pin” it to the top of your feed. This post will now appear under your general information first, at all times.

As modern business professionals, LinkedIn has become the currency we all trade in – it’s a fact. Video content is a powerful resource that can help your LinkedIn profiles standout, both personally and professionally.
