We all want to look good online and having relevant, well-produced video content is a fantastic way to do so.

Individuals and companies are realizing they need to hire a professional.

We recommend doing your homework to save yourself time, money, and stress throughout the process of next video project. Here are four postures to consider when working with your video vendor.

    1. Know what you want. Bring your vision – including images, colors, themes,  video examples..etc. be very, very specific. The more you educate and inform your producing partners, the more likely you’ll get exactly what you’re looking for.
    2. Know what it rhymes with, even if you can’t describe it. Put together some ideas. Find examples from other companies, brands or even different industries. Do you want your video to look like a SuperBowl commercial or a product testimonial?  Don’t tell your vendor what to do, but be very clear how you want your audience to feel and what it should remind them of. Originality isn’t the primary goal, effectiveness is.
    3. I’m not a Producer, but I understand my Audience. Do you want this video to increase trust? Desire? Confidence? Urgency? Who’s it for? What’s it for? If you can be clear about the intention of the video, then hire a team you trust and give them the freedom to bring your vision to life.
    4. I’ll know it when I see it. Please never say this unless you have a lot of money and a lot of time (and a great deal of patience). Telepathy is hardwork, and only reserved for rookies.

Bringing quality video content to life is always a team effort, or at least we believe it should be. Picking a producing partner you can communicate with and trust to bring your vision to life is essential.
